The best time to visit Thailand is from November to March. The weather is pleasant in these months. You can explore the place in these months.

DAY 1

MUMBAI TO PHUKET INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

We started our trip from Mumbai city. Our first destination is Phuket, Thailand. It takes four and a half hours to reach Phuket from Mumbai. We landed at the Phuket International Airport. This is a huge and spacious airport. You can buy a local SIM card from the airport at a very good price. The local sim card is cheaper than international roaming for using the internet. It is very useful as you will need to use Google Maps and book local taxis online.

BEST PLACE TO STAY IN PHUKET THAILAND

Well, we took a taxi to our accommodation in Phuket. We booked our stay in the Patong area. Patong is a perfect place to stay in Phuket. You can enjoy street shopping, dine in at good restaurants, visit the popular malls and enjoy water activities at Patong Beach. You can stay near Patong Beach which is near the malls, restaurants and the beach.

INDIAN FOOD IN PHUKET THAILAND

We then visited the Honest Pure Vegetarian restaurant for Lunch. This is a good restaurant serving a variety of Indian food. It is a spacious restaurant. The staff here is good and helpful.

We had a North Indian Thali which was filling and sumptuous. Also, we had some Chhole Bhature which too was sumptuous. They also deliver food.

CARNIVAL MAGIC PHUKET THAILAND

Carnival Magic is truly a magical place. It is a wonderful theme park, especially for kids. The décor of the theme park is amazing. You feel like you are entering a wonderland or a storybook. I recommend buying the tickets online in advance. CLICK HERE to buy the tickets.

The theme park is open only a few days of the week. You can plan your trip accordingly. Well, they also offer a huge buffet spread at the restaurant inside the theme park. The Carnival Magic Theme Park opens in the evenings. I would recommend visiting the theme park early during the opening hours. This is a huge theme park with a lot of activities and shows which will take time to explore. There is a huge carnival parade which takes place in the evening. You should arrive on time to see this magical parade.

Some of the activities like the Games and rides for kids are not included with the tickets. You must pay for these activities. You can enjoy the Carnival Parade, a Parade show, and the Kingdom of Lights (huge décor with lights) which is inclusive of the ticket price.

CARNIVAL PARADE

This is a huge parade which takes place in a huge passage of the theme park. There are several entertainers in this parade who perform various activities.

PARADE SHOW

This is a show which takes place in an auditorium inside the theme park. It is a magical parade show in which a lot of beautiful props are used. Mobile phones are not allowed inside the show. You can keep it safely in the lockers outside the auditorium.

Kingdom of Lights

This is a huge light show. You can see the beautiful décor of lights. You have to walk around for at least 20 to 30 minutes to see all the light décor. However, there is an electric car facility which is paid to see the décor.

Food

 

The restaurant inside the park serves a huge buffet spread which you can include in your tickets. The buffet spread has a lot of variety of food. You can also find vegetarian Indian food in the Buffet.

My favourite part of the Buffet was the Deserts. They have a variety of cakes and pastries in the buffet spread.

DAY 2

BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN PHUKET

Well, on the second day, we started a little late in the afternoon. We had lunch at an Indian restaurant, Kailash Parbat. The food here is delicious and relishing. This restaurant is in the Central Mall opposite Jungceylon Mall.

 

We tried Samosa Chaat, paneer Makhani with Butter Roti, Chhole Bhature and veg Frankie. The food is good and the service too is prompt. This is one of the Best Indian Restaurants in Phuket.

BIG BUDDHA TEMPLE

After Lunch, we booked a taxi for Big Buddha Temple. You will find a magnificent Buddha Statue on a hilltop at this place. On our way, we saw people enjoying ATV rides. There are several places on the way to the Big Buddha temple where you can enjoy an ATV ride.

Well, you must be decently dressed to visit the Big Buddha Temple. Avoid wearing shorts or sleeveless. The Big Buddha Statue is a 5 to 10-minute walk from the Entry Gate. The Entry to the Temple is Free. You can enjoy seeing some gorgeous views of Phuket from the hilltop. It is a good place to click some beautiful pictures of Phuket.

We had to climb some stairs to see the statue. We sat here for a while. This is a peaceful place. I recommend reaching a bit early as it gets closed in the evening. It will take at least 2 hours to explore this place.

JUNGCEYLON MALL PHUKET THAILAND

After returning from the temple, we took rest for a few hours. Later, in the evening we visited the Jungceylon Mall. This is one of the popular shopping malls in Phuket.

If you want to shop for clothes, handbags, and accessories, then you should visit this mall. The mall also offers some amazing fine-dining restaurants. You can have your dinner in these restaurants in the evenings.

We dined at one of the restaurants in the mall. This is an amazing place to spend evenings. You will also find some good discounts and sale on some of the products at the mall.

TUK TUK RIDE

Thailand is known for its Tuk Tuks. It is an amazing experience riding in these colourful tuk-tuks. I would recommend doing a ride on the TukTuk in Phuket at least once.

We took a tuk-tuk to our stay in the evening. We enjoyed seeing the beautiful lit-up street on our way. The Tuk Tuk was decorated with fancy lights. It is an amazing and enjoyable experience.

DAY 3

PATONG BEACH PHUKET THAILAND

This is one of the popular beaches in Phuket. You can enjoy many water activities on the beach or just relax. You can also go for a swim on the beach.

I recommend visiting the beach during sunsets. It will be sunny in the afternoon and you will not be able to sit in the heat on the beach. In the evenings you can take beautiful pictures of the sunsets and relax on the beach. I recommend carrying a beach mat along with you to spend some time on the beach.

BANGLA MARKET

After enjoying on the beach, we enjoyed shopping around and strolling at the Bangla Market. You can buy handbags, clothes, and souvenirs from this market. This market is good for street shopping. There are small shops on the lane selling different products.

PHUKET NIGHT MARKET

This market is a few minutes’ walk from the Jungceylon Mall. It is also popular for some good street shopping. You can buy local products here. Some of the handbags and clothes have local designs on them. You can also buy some good souvenirs from this place. You can brush up your bargaining skills to get some good discounts on the products.

Day 4

KRABI

The next day, we left for Ao Nang Krabi from Phuket. It is a 3-and-a-half-hour drive from Phuket. I recommend leaving early in the morning to reach Krabi. There may be a bit of traffic on your way.

We reached Ao Nang Krabi by a Taxi. The journey towards Krabi is very beautiful. There is a lot of greenery on the way. Krabi is an Island in Thailand. It is a peaceful and quiet place. I recommend to plan at least a 3-day trip to enjoy the amazing vibes of this place.

Tourists usually prefer staying near the Ao Nang beach in Krabi. There are many activities to do around the beach. You can shop from the streets, dine in at the restaurants near the beach, go for a relaxing foot massage or just spend your evenings watching the beautiful sunsets at the beach. BEST RESTAURANT IN AO NANG KRABI

GOVINDAS PURE VEG RESTAURANT

After checking in at our Hotel, we went to Govinda’s Pure Vegetarian Restaurant for Lunch. This place has a very peaceful vibe. It is a spacious restaurant near Ao Nang Beach. The seating at the restaurant is very comfortable. You feel relaxed while dining at this place.

 

There are a lot of options for food on their menu. This is a Pure Vegetarian Restaurant. We dined in here for all our meals during our trip. We enjoyed some amazing food like Samosa, Paneer Makhani with Butter Rotis and Parathas. Also, we had fresh juices of Watermelon and Pineapple.

We had a great time at this restaurant. It was amazing spending a good time dining in here. We also tried some Thai Flat Noodles which too was good here.

Well after lunch we took some rest for the day and spent some relaxing time at our stay.

DAY 5

FOUR ISLAND TOUR

FOUR ISLAND TOUR KRABIYour trip to Krabi is incomplete without this beautiful Island Tour. This tour covers four beautiful islands. Every island has its unique charm. It is mesmerising to be in a place surrounded by water. It feels unreal on these magical islands.

You can do the tour in a longtail boat or a speedboat. I recommend opting for the Longtail boat for a local feel.

RAILAY BEACH

The Railay Beach is one of the most beautiful and serene beaches on the Island Tour. You can see beautiful caves on your way to the main beach. It is a beautiful long strip of land amid the sea.

There is a rock-climbing activity on the railay beach. You can enjoy this activity or sit and enjoy the beautiful views on the beach for a while.

KOH THUP

The next island you will visit on the tour is Koh Thup Island. This too is a peaceful place. You can click beautiful pictures on this island. Also, enjoy a swim and a relaxing time on the Beach.

CHICKEN ISLAND

This island is known as Chicken Island because a  mountain near this island has a chicken-like shape. This is a beautiful place with mountains around. The boat makes a stop here to take pictures of the mountains.

KOH PODA ISLAND

This is the last and fourth island in the tour. This is one of the spacious islands among the four islands. The island is full of trees around. It is a peaceful place. You can have a relaxing time under the shade of trees.

You can also book a private tour. You can book the tour near Ao Nang beach. There are several small stores near Ao Nang Beach offering the Four Island tours. The Private tour will not include food in your package.

AO NANG BEACH KRABI

In the evening, we visited the famous Ao Nang Beach in Krabi. This is a wonderful beach. The perfect time to visit the beach is in the evenings during sunset. You can see some beautiful sunset views on the beach and click good pictures here.

You can then see the Fire Show which takes place at the beach every evening. This is a spectacular show performed by professionals. It is a unique show which I had seen for the first time.

There is a beautiful walkway near the Beach where you can stroll around and have a good time in the evenings. You can click beautiful pictures of the sea from the Walkway.

You can also shop around the small stores near the beach. Shop for some beautiful accessories, handbags, and clothes in these stores. There are some good travel bags and souvenirs you can buy at these stores.

There are several restaurants near the Beach. You can enjoy dining at these restaurants offering a variety of food options on their menu.

DAY 6

FOOT MASSAGE IN KRABI

I spent a relaxing day in Krabi enjoying a good Foot Massage. The foot massages here are very relaxing. You can get it done at many places near Ao Nang Beach. Several good places are offering foot massages near the beach.

We then enjoyed sipping on some fresh juices and tried some Thai Flat noodles at Govinda’s Pure Vegetarian Restaurant. We spent the rest of the day relaxing at our stay.

DAY 7

KRABI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The next day, we boarded a flight from the Krabi International Airport to Bangkok City. This is a small airport and we had a quick hassle-free check-in. It was a quick one-and-a-half-hour flight to Bangkok.

DON MUAENG AIRPORT BANGKOK THAILAND

It was a quick transition of visiting a bustling city from the calm and peaceful islands. This could be felt as soon as we landed at the airport. We then got out of the airport and booked a taxi for our stay.

WHERE TO STAY IN BANGKOK THAILAND

The best place to stay in Bangkok is in the Sukhumvit area. This area is well connected to all the public commutes and major shopping places. This place is well connected to the BTS SkyTrain which is very convenient to visit many attractions in the city. CLICK HERE to find Hotels around this area

HOW TO COMMUTE IN BANGKOK

BTS SKYTRAIN

The best and easiest way to commute around Bangkok is by BTS Skytrain. To avoid the Bangkok Traffic, this is the best way to travel around. You can buy a day pass if you are going to use the Skytrain several times in a day or also buy an individual ticket. It connects many major attractions.

TAXI

The second good option is to travel by taxi. There are local taxis in Bangkok. Also, a good option is to book a Taxi from the App. There are two apps GRAB and BOLT which are majorly used to book a taxi.

TUKTUKS

Well, if you are in Bangkok you must enjoy the experience of riding on a Tuk Tuk. You can ride in these TuKTuks too to travel around Bangkok.

FERRY

BEST VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT IN BANGKOK

Well, after checking in for our stay, we got freshened up and left for lunch at the Dosa King Restaurant in Bangkok. This is one of the best places to have North Indian Food and a variety of Dosa in Bangkok.

This restaurant is located near Nana BTS Station. It is just a few minutes away from the station. We tried Samosa Chaat, Paneer Makhani with Butter Roti, Paratha and Dosa at this place.

Everything was served piping hot. The service is prompt and good. The food was delicious. They also offered us some sweets as we visited the place during Diwali which is an Indian Festival.

ASIATIQUE RIVERFRONT BANGKOK THAILAND

Asiatique Riverfront is one of the best places to visit in Bangkok. It is located near the Chao Phraya River. This place is all lit in the evening with a lot of entertaining activities.

The best way to reach the Asiatique Riverfront is by the BTS Skytrain. You can get down at the Saphan Taksin station and head towards the Sathorn Pier which is just a few minutes walking distance. You can then take a free local ferry to the Asiatique Riverfront from the Sathorn Pier.

There are a lot of dining restaurants on the riverfront. You can also enjoy shopping. There are shopping areas from where you can buy handbags, accessories, and souvenirs. We enjoyed having ice cream from Mixue on the Riverfront. You can also have a dining experience on a huge boat standing near the riverfront.

There are also some good activities for kids at the Asiatique Riverfront. There are some rides for kids. Do not miss to take a ride on the Chang Ferris Wheel. This is a huge Giant Wheel. Enjoy beautiful city views from the Ferris Wheel.

They allott a cabin per group. You can enjoy a ride with your friends in the cabin clicking beautiful pictures of the city. You can buy the tickets from the counter outside the Ferris Wheel.

DAY 8

DREAM WORLD THEME PARK IN BANGKOK

This is one of the best theme parks in Bangkok. Enjoy a whole day of fun rides and activities inside the theme park. This is a magical place with a wonderful décor all around.

You can reach here easily by booking a Taxi from your Hotel. This is the easiest and most convenient way to reach the Theme Park.

There are several places inside the Theme Park which are good for taking pictures. There are special photographers inside the theme park who click your pictures. They make customised souvenirs with your pictures which you can buy at the end of the day.

Well, there are food stalls inside the Theme Park. Also, you will find shops from where you can buy souvenirs. We had our Lunch at KFC inside the theme park. You can also visit the Snow Park inside the Theme Park. There are a few rides inside the Snow Park and some spots to click beautiful pictures.

While returning, I recommend taking a local taxi. There are several taxis outside the theme park.

This is a Pure Vegetarian restaurant known for serving a variety of Indian street Food and Thalis. They have Gujarati Thali and North Indian Thali. The Thali has a good variety of Food like sweets, Roti, vegetables, Rice, Dal, Papad. We also tried some Bhel Puri, Paneer Makhani and Chhole Bhature. The food is piping hot. The service too is prompt and good.

They also home-deliver food. We got the food delivered at our stay. The packaging was neat and good.

TERMINAL 21 MALL

After Dinner, we went to the Terminal 21 Mall. This mall is located near the Asok BTS Station. You can get down at the station and enter the mall from outside the Station. This is the most convenient way to reach this mall.
Terminal Mall is one of the unique malls in Bangkok. Each Floor has a theme of a different country and has shops with the products of that country. You can also try the local cuisine of those countries in the restaurants.

The mall is huge and spacious with a lot of shopping options from different countries.

 

DAY 9

SAFARI WORLD IN BANGKOK

This is one of the unique theme parks in Bangkok. You can see a lot of animals around the park and enjoy some amazing shows inside the park. The Theme Park is divided into three sections – Safari World, Safari Park and the Marine Park. The most convenient and easy way to visit the Safari World Theme Park is by taxi.

We first entered the Safari World and clicked a lot of pictures. There are certain places well decorated to take pictures. I suggest reaching the Safari Park on time as the shows start as the park opens.
You should first note down the Show timings and then plan your day. Each show takes place only once in a day. You can also see a lot of animals inside the park. Stunt Show was one of my favourite shows.

SAVANNAH INDIAN RESTAURANT IN SAFARI WORLD

There is an Indian Restaurant inside the park. The restaurant offers lunch Buffet with vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian options. You can include the Lunch Buffet in your tickets while buying them. SAFARI PARK

This park is spread over a huge area where you can see different animals. You can visit the park in your private vehicle or take a bus to the park. You have to buy tickets for the bus ride inside the park. This is almost a 45-minute ride.

INDIAN RESTAURANT AT INDRA SQUARE MARKET

MAA PURE VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT

This is one of the best restaurants for Indian Food in Bangkok is Maa Pure Vegetarian Restaurant. The restaurant is located right inside the Indra Square Market. You can enjoy shopping after having some delicious Indian Food here.

We had Samosa Chaat which was one of my favourite dishes at this place. Also, we tried Paneer Makhani with Butter Rotis which was served piping hot and then we had a Dosa too. The food was served piping hot and fresh. The service too is good and prompt.

INDRA SQUARE WHOLESALE MARKET

This is one of the wholesale markets in Bangkok. You can find a lot of small stores selling a variety of products like clothes, accessories, souvenirs, and a lot more. This is an air condition wholesale market.

Well, you should brush up your bargaining skills before you visit the market. You can bargain at the shops to get the best price for the products you want to buy.

This wholesale market is in the Sukhumvit area. You can easily reach this place by a local taxi. Also, there are many local taxis available outside the market to get back to your hotel.

DAY 10

WAT PHO IN BANGKOK THAILAND

This is one of the best places to visit in Bangkok. The temple has ancient architecture and carvings which is very beautiful. It is a well-maintained place. Well, you need to be dressed decent to visit the temple. Avoid wearing Shorts or sleeveless. You can reach the temple by taxi or tuk-tuk.

There is a ticket for visiting the temple. You can buy it from the Ticket counter. You will also find some good deals and packages online which include visiting three to four places along with the Wat Pho tickets. CLICK HERE to find such passes.

Wat Pho is popular for the Reclining Buddha. The temple is huge, and spacious, and has interesting architecture. We then visited the Reclining Buddha. The idol of Buddha in a reclining posture is very peaceful. The atmosphere around is very peaceful. The experience of seeing this magnificent Reclining Buddha will always be a memorable one.

SAMPHENG MARKET

Well, after visiting the WAT PHO temple we went to the Sampheng Market in China Town. The Sampheng market is near Wat Pho temple. It is a 10-to-15-minute drive from the temple. We took a taxi to the Sampheng Market. This is one of my favourite markets in Bangkok.

Sampheng Market is a wholesale market where you will get products at a very low price. The market has a lot of shops. It has narrow lanes with shops on both sides. You must keep walking in the busy market to see the shops. You can then enter the shop from where you want to buy some products.

Sampheng Market has some products like water bottles, bags, women’s accessories, and many other products. You will at least need 4 to 5 hours to see and buy the products. So, plan your visit accordingly.

ICON SIAM MALL IN BANGKOK THAILAND

This is one of the biggest malls in Bangkok city. It is popular for having some of the big brand outlets in the mall. You can find many brand outlets in the mall. If you are looking for shopping brand products, then this is a perfect place.

The easiest way to reach the ICON SIAM MALL is by a local ferry to the mall. You can take a BTS Skytrain to Saphan Taksim Station. Then reach the Sathorn Pier from the station in a few minutes of walking and take a local ferry from here.

There is also a Hop On Hop Off Ferry which takes you to several other attractions with the mall. This is a good option to see more places. CLICK HERE to book the tickets for the Hop on Hop Off Ferry.

 

The Icon Siam Mall is known for the Fountain Show held every evening. It is held in the outdoors of the mall. The place is all glittered with lights around.

There are several dining options inside the mall. You can find a variety of options for food at the mall. This is a perfect place to shop and dine. You can visit the mall in the evening to see the Fountain Show and enjoy seeing the place all lit up.

DAY 11

BOBAE MARKET IN BANGKOK THAILAND

This is a Wholesale Market for clothes. You can find a variety of clothes for Kids, Women and Men. This Market is located inside the Bobae Tower in Bangkok city. The market will be closed by evening. This is a huge market, so you can visit a bit early to explore the whole market.

 

Well, the clothes are sold for wholesale here. Some shops do sell one piece of cloth. But if you are looking for the best discounts, you should at least buy 3 pieces of clothes.

PRATUNAM MARKET

This is a huge market with shops on the street located near Indra Square Market You will find a variety of clothes, bags, and accessories in this market. This too is a huge market and you can shop for a lot of products at a low price.

TIPS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

• A Local SIM card will be helpful as it will be cheaper than the international roaming charges.
• You can use Google Translate as the locals mostly speak their language.
• Some of the important apps you will need is Grab and Bolt app for Taxi. You will also need Lineman, Foodpanda and Grabfood for food delivery.
• You will also find Local Taxis in Thailand.
• The best way to Commute in Bangkok is by BTS Skytrain. To avoid the Bangkok Traffic, you will find it convenient to travel by the SkyTrain.
• You can visit the Grand Palace in Bangkok which is known for its architecture. This place is not included in my itinerary.
• Bangkok, Krabi and Phuket are the 3 places you must visit in Thailand during your trip.
