Mumbai Metro Aqua Line 3 – Explore Best Places in the City

Mumbai Metro Aqua Line 3 is finally open for locals. The 33.5 km route is the first Underground Metro Line. It is a one-of-a-kind metro line with an underground route. It was a challenging route to construct. The stations are very well planned, resolving the major travelling issues for the citizens. The stations are primarily located in the main office areas, such as BKC, Seepz, and Nariman Point. The route has stations near the airport on both T1 and T2 terminals.

Mumbai Metro Aqua Line 3 is now fully operational. The speciality of the Aqua Line is that it is the only line connecting South Mumbai to the Western Suburbs. The Aqua Line reduces the travel time to reach the airport from South Mumbai.

I recently spent a day exploring the popular places in Mumbai. It is convenient to travel by Metro to South Mumbai. It reduces the parking stress in busy areas. Also, you escape the Mumbai traffic. I had a fun day spent visiting some of the amazing places in Mumbai. I will also suggest a few places I haven’t visited. These are some fun things to do in Mumbai, travelling by the Metro Aqua Line 3.

Our first stop was Siddhivinayak Temple. We started early in the morning. We began our journey by taking the blessings of Lord Ganesha. We bought Prasad and Flowers from the local flower vendors. The aroma of flowers and sweets from the vendors feels refreshing. We bought my favourite Modaks for Ganpati and also the flowers. The temple has a peaceful vibe. After the Darshan, we proceeded towards the Siddhivinayak Metro Station near the temple.

Our next stop is the iconic CST Station. We took many pictures of the CST Station and the BMC building. The buildings from the British Era have beautiful architecture. The area around is filled with such heritage buildings. It is always amazing to walk down the street near the CST Station.

We then visited the popular Aaram Vada Pav. It is located opposite the CST Station. They have a stall selling Vada Pav. They have a restaurant serving piping hot Misal Pav and Vada Pav. You can sit and relish the food at this place.

The size of the vada Pav is jumbo, and also, the Pav was very soft. The chutney served with the vada Pav is also very good. They also gave us the sweet chutney. The staff were good and polite at the restaurant. We liked the service. Aaram Vada Pav is one of the best Vada Pav Spots in Mumbai.

Nest Stop, Nariman Point, a place with a beautiful Sea Facing Promenade. It is located near the Marine Drive. We walked around the promenade and then sat by the sea. Enjoyed the cool breeze near the sea and spent a relaxing time. The promenade is very well maintained. You can enjoy an early morning walk at the promenade.

K Rustom is another popular place in Mumbai. This is a small Ice Cream shop in Churchgate, popular among locals for years. It is another iconic place in Mumbai. Their Ice Creams are one of the best in the city. The unique way of covering the Ice Cream Bars with biscuits makes it special. I had a great time enjoying the Ice Cream after a long time at K Rustom.

We then headed towards Churchgate Station, another gem in Mumbai. The station building and the surroundings are filled with buildings from the British Era. Some of the nearby areas to explore for photography walks are Kala Ghoda, Fountain, High Court and Fashion Street – a unique street with shopping stalls. We then took the metro from Churchgate Station back home.
