Well, if you are visiting Abu Dhabi, then this is the Ultimate Traveler’s Guide for exploring Abu Dhabi in 24 Hours. Whether you have booked a stay in Abu Dhabi or planning a day trip from Dubai, this guide will help you plan your perfect itinerary. I visited some of the incredible places in Abu Dhabi during my recent trip. I would say, I was just amazed to see these beautiful places. Well, the UAE is known for its grand and royal hospitality. These places were huge and royal with beautiful architecture.
ABU DHABI IN 24 HOURS – PLACES TO VISIT
Well, I would suggest you start your day early to cover seeing all these beautiful places. Taxis are easily available in Abu Dhabi. So, getting around Abu Dhabi to visit the places is very easy.
My very first impressions of this city, were the beautiful buildings and houses, neat and well-maintained roads. The infrastructure here is amazing. We reached our hotel from the airport in a very short time. Abu Dhabi gives you a feel of a royal lifestyle. Some of the areas in Abu Dhabi like the Corniche Road are very beautiful.
SHEIKH ZAYED GRAND MOSQUE
The first place we visited was The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. This is a must-visit place in Abu Dhabi. The Mosque, as the name suggests is huge and beautiful filled with interesting architecture and carvings. The entry to the Mosque is Free. You must follow certain rules for the dress code to visit the mosque. You can find the details on their website.
They had photo stops to click pictures around. I visited this place in the morning. So had ample time to explore. It took almost two hours for us to explore the Grand Mosque.
I must say, the interiors and the architecture of the Mosque have been thoughtfully designed. The pillars around, and the beautiful chandeliers are interesting. Every corner is filled with different architecture. They have kept Boards written with the details about each of the architectural designs. This helps to know more about these designs.
We then had an exit from a mall. There were several food stalls in the mall. You can have lunch at the mall. Then, go ahead to see the next place.
THE CORNICHE ROAD
Then by taxi, we passed through the beautiful Corniche Road. This is one of the popular places in Abu Dhabi. You can spend some time on this road. You can take a stroll around this road or sit on the benches and relax. The place is beautifully maintained and is very clean. Also, the road is filled with trees all along the way.
THE EMIRATES PALACE HOTEL
After a short stopover at the Corniche road, you can proceed towards The Emirates Palace Hotel. This is the most luxurious hotel in Abu Dhabi. It is popular for its Grand interiors and golden décor. The Hotel gives a feel of a Royal Palace. Visitors are allowed to visit this Hotel. Although they can visit only a limited area of the Hotel.
We had been here to see the amazing décor of the hotel and also to try the signature coffee from their café. The Rolex Watch on the wall describes the luxury in the hotel. Well, to enjoy all their amenities and the royal hospitality, you can also book a room at this hotel. The rooms are royal and amazing. It is a beautiful experience to stay. Royal rooms with amazing hospitality are a perfect reason to book a stay here.
The Hotel has beautiful chandeliers with a unique golden décor. You can see golden décor everywhere in the Hotel. The entrance of the Hotel is beautifully decorated with small water fountains. Once you enter the hotel, they have a grand lobby with beautiful chandeliers around. You can click some good pictures here.
EMIRATES PALACE GOLD COFFEE
Then we visited the café in the Hotel to try their signature coffee, THE EMIRATES PALACE GOLD COFFEE. The Coffee has a picture of the Emirates Palace Hotel with some gold flakes sprinkled on it. It is served with some cookies and dates. We had a wonderful time at the cafe. It was an amazing experience at the Hotel. The staff at the café too was very good.
QASR AL WATAN
Then, in the evening we visited the Qasr Al Watan. This is the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi. It is a functional palace which hosts official visits and summits. If you want to see a grand and luxurious place, you should visit Qasr Al Watan. This presidential palace has been recently open for visitors. This is one of the most unique and beautiful places I have visited.
Qasr Al Watan is right next to the Emirates Palace Hotel. Also, you should try to visit this palace in the evening. They have a light and sound show every evening at the Palace. You should visit this palace at least two hours before the show. It takes approximately two hours to explore the palace. The Presidential Palace is a huge and spacious palace. From the main entrance to the meeting rooms and library, everything is grand and huge.
We visited different areas in the Palace like meeting halls, library halls, and dining space. I was amazed to see this huge and luxurious place. There are beautiful chandeliers decorated in the palace. Also, the architecture of the Palace is amazing.
We also clicked some beautiful pictures of the palace during sunset. Then, later in the evening, we saw the light and sound show. This was an amazing evening and our last place to see in Abu Dhabi.
