DUBAI AND ABU DHABI-PERFECT 10 DAY ITINERARY WITH YAS ISLAND
Dubai has always been a favourite of tourists for various reasons. It is liked by people of all ages. There are a variety of things to do and places to visit for everyone. There are shopping malls, theme parks, beaches, luxury Hotels, unique activities to do, and a lot more places here. Dubai and Abu Dhabi have recently developed and have a lot more to offer along with their beautiful Desert Safaris and shopping malls. There are many interesting places to visit in Dubai and Abu Dhabi which I will be mentioning further.
I will also mention some of the places to stay in Dubai and Abu Dhabi during your visit, restaurants, cafes, and the easiest way to commute. I will be sharing all the details from my well-planned trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This will make it easier and simpler to plan your next trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Well, this itinerary also has some of the interesting places which are popular among the locals. It is a perfect 10 Day itinerary for Dubai and Abu Dhabi covering all the interesting places in Dubai. Further, in this blog post, I have also mentioned some of the places we did not visit but would recommend that you should visit. Also, I will share some tips and recommendations for a better travel experience.
DAY 1
Our first destination was Abu Dhabi. As we had an evening flight, we reached Abu Dhabi late in the evening. So, we started our trip next day morning. It was good to reach a day earlier which helped us relax and start afresh the next day. You can easily get a cab or a Taxi from the Abu Dhabi Airport to your Hotel.
WHERE TO STAY IN ABU DHABI
We had booked a stay in Abu Dhabi for a day. We stayed at Al Rawda Arjaan by Rotana Hotel Apartments in Abu Dhabi. It was a good and comfortable stay at this Hotel. The Hotel Apartments were equipped with a small kitchen and washing machine. Also, the staff here was attentive and helpful. The best part about this Hotel is that it is next to a mall. We visited this mall to have our meals as there were a lot of food options there.

So, on Day 1 we visited many interesting places in Abu Dhabi. We visited all these places by taxi. It is very easy to get a local taxi in Abu Dhabi and is the most convenient way to travel around the city. So, below are the places we visited in Abu Dhabi.
WHERE TO EAT IN ABU DHABI
As I mentioned earlier, we had several options for food in the mall located beside our Hotel. Well, we had lunch at Kamat’s Vegetarian Restaurant at Al Wahda Mall in Abu Dhabi. This is a famous Indian chain restaurant having outlets in the U.A.E. We enjoyed meals at this place a lot of times during our visit. The food here is delicious and reasonably priced. I always enjoyed my meals at this restaurant.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque – PLACES TO VISIT IN DUBAI AND ABU DHABI
This mosque is open to visitors in Abu Dhabi. I have no words to describe this magnificent mosque. It is known for its beautiful architecture. You can see huge chandeliers and interesting architecture here. The mosque is open to visiting tourists. Although, there are a few guidelines to be followed by the visitors before their visit.
You can check all their guidelines on their website. They also have a specific dress code to follow. Well, it was interesting to visit this huge and beautifully built mosque. The Carpet inside the Main Prayer Hall is the World’s largest hand-knotted carpet.
It was a unique experience visiting Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
Emirates Palace Hotel
Well, United Arab Emirates is also known for its luxurious Hotels. If you want to experience luxury, you must visit the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi. Get a Royal experience by Booking a Stay at this Hotel.
This Hotel is also open for visitors. Only some specific areas of the Hotel are open for visitors. We visited the Hotel to have a look at its luxurious interiors and architecture. The Hotel has beautiful chandeliers and the golden décor is amazing. Well, these places cannot be described in words. They are thoughtfully built giving a grand and royal experience to the visitors.
We, then visited their Café to have one of their Signature Coffees THE EMIRATES PALACE GOLD COFFEE. This Coffee had a picture of the Emirates Palace and had some gold flakes sprinkled on it to experience luxury. The Coffee was served with some Dates and special cookies. I enjoyed every sip of the Coffee. The cookies too were relishing. The whole experience of sitting in this café of the luxurious Emirates Palace and having their signature Coffee was amazing.

Qasr Al Watan-PLACES TO VISIT IN DUBAI AND ABU DHABI
Qasr Al Watan is the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi. This place has recently been open for visitors. This is a working Presidential palace and its main function is to host official visits and summits. You can see the Conference halls and Qasr Al Watan Library. The palace has beautiful architecture. The interiors of the Palace are grand and beautifully designed. Everything inside the palace is Royal and luxurious.
I was amazed to see the huge Conference Halls of the Palace. Everything is thoughtfully designed in the palace. This Palace is now open to the public. Qasr Al Watan Is next to the Emirates Palace Hotel. You can plan your visit to both places accordingly.
They also have a Light Show which is held in the evening after sunset. You can check the Timings on their website. We visited this palace 2 hours before sunset. So, we watched the show after seeing the Palace.
I had a unique and memorable experience at Qasr Al Watan.

DAY 2
YAS ISLAND
WHERE TO STAY ON YAS ISLAND
We then headed towards Yas Island early in the morning the next day. We checked in to the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Yas Island. This is one of the luxurious Hotels on Yas Island. We enjoyed staying for 3 days at this hotel. We had booked a Package from the Yas Island Website which included Entry tickets for 3 Theme Parks, Breakfast and a Stay in the Hotel. We had options to select our choice of hotel. The price may vary with your choice of hotel.
The Rooms in the Hotel were spacious. They also had a huge Bathroom with a Bathtub in the room. Well, also there were many facilities and amenities in the Hotel which we enjoyed a lot. You can enjoy a dip in the swimming pool, especially during evenings with a beautiful sunset view. Also, the Hotel has good restaurants with amazing ambience. These restaurants have indoor and outdoor seating as well. We visited the restaurants for breakfast. They had a huge spread for the Breakfast Buffet. We liked the food. The special thing about the breakfast was that they had Indian Food options. This filled all our cravings for Indian food. We enjoyed having Idli Sambhar, Poha and a few more Indian breakfast dishes.
YAS WATER WORLD
After checking into the hotel room, we relaxed a bit and then headed towards the Yas Water World. We went to the Water World by the free bus service provided inside Yas Island. This Bus drops you to the main attractions of Yas Island. You can check about the Bus Service with the hotel. The hotel staff guided us and showed us the way to the bus stop. Also, if you do not want to travel by bus, you can easily get a Taxi from the Hotel to drop you to the attractions.
Once we reached the Yas Waterworld, we showed our tickets and went inside. Well, there are locker facilities for a fee to keep your belongings. Also, there are changing rooms which are very clean and well maintained. We were all excited to visit the Water Park.
We enjoyed the Wave Pool. They had a separate Kids’ Water Play area which was huge. We enjoyed some of the Water Rides. It was a fun-filled experience. They also had food stalls and restaurants inside the Water World.
In the end, enjoyed watching a show which was fun for kids as well as Adults. It was fun visiting the Yas Water World.
In the evening we headed towards the Hotel and relaxed for the day.
DAY 3
WARNER BROS WORLD
Well, on this day we started early in the morning. I would recommend starting your day early in the morning at Yas Island as it almost takes the entire day to see and enjoy all the rides in the Theme Parks. Warner Bros. World is also fun to visit. It is an indoor theme park with rides mainly for younger kids. The Theme Park has a lot of rides to enjoy.
The décor or interiors of the Theme Park is so enchanting and beautiful. I felt like I am inside a Fairy Tale. The theme parks also had a play area for kids where kids can spend a lot of time having fun.
There are restaurants inside the theme park where you can have your meals. Also, there are stalls inside the theme park selling popcorn and snacks. We had our lunch inside the Theme Park. It was a fun-filled day visiting Warner Bros. World
YAS MALL
In the evening we visited Yas Mall. This is a huge and spacious mall located next to Ferrari World Theme Park. You can enjoy shopping in the mall. They have a lot of stores in the mall to shop around.
WHERE TO EAT ON YAS ISLAND
There are a lot of restaurants in Yas Mall. Also, there is a huge food court in the mall. So, you can enjoy a fine dining experience or also have food from the food court. There were Fine Dine Indian restaurants in the mall like Rasoi Ghar and Asha’s. Rasoi Ghar is popular for their Thali. They serve delicious Indian Thali.
Well, we had food from Kailash Parbat located in the Food Court at Yas Mall. We had their lunch Combo and some chaat. I must say, the food here was very delicious. We usually visited this place for our meals during our stay on Yas Island.
DAY 4
FERRARI WORLD
This Theme Park is designed with the theme of the Ferrari Car. The Theme Park is fun for children as well as adults. There are a lot of rides in the theme park which you can enjoy. Also, the theme park has the fastest Roller Coaster Ride in the world. The theme park is very well designed. You feel you are in a different world as you enter the theme park.
There were some interesting shows to watch in the Theme Park. We also enjoyed a ride in which we sat in a toy Ferrari Car and felt like we were roaming about in Italy.
There are restaurants inside the Theme Park to have your meals. We had some Pizza for lunch which was relishing. It was overall a fun experience to visit the Ferrari World Theme Park.
Yas Marina Circuit
Have you ever thought of Cycling on the Yas Marina Circuit? I am thrilled to get a chance to cycle around the Formula 1 Circuit Track. TrainYas offers to cycle, Run and walk at the Formula 1 Track in the evenings. The most amazing thing about this is it is free of charge. They offer free cycles and helmets for those who want to cycle. Although, as many people are visiting for cycling, sometimes the helmets are not available. But, you can rent a helmet from the nearby store or also get your own helmet. Also, you are required to wear proper sportswear. You can check the timings and dates on their website.
It was a thrilling experience to cycle on the Formula 1 track. I enjoyed the whole experience. It was a fun evening at Yas Marina Circuit. There is also a Go Karting Track here. You can enjoy Go Karting here which is for a fee. You can book it online on the Yas Island Website.
DAY 5
Yas Beach
We went for a short walk to Yas Beach from our Hotel the next morning. It is a well-maintained beach. You can enjoy and have a peaceful time here.
HOW TO REACH DUBAI FROM ABU DHABI
After coming back from the Beach, we checked out of the Hotel and left for Dubai. You can easily get a taxi from Yas Island to Dubai. It is approximately a 1-hour drive from Abu Dhabi.
DUBAI
WHERE TO STAY IN DUBAI
We were staying in an Airbnb Apartment near Dubai Marina. The Marina is a beautiful area with tall buildings all around. The Metro Station and the Tram station were nearby our Apartment. The stations were only at a 5 – 10 minutes walking distance from our Apartment. Well, if you are looking for a Stay in Dubai, I would recommend finding accommodation near a Metro Station. DUBAI METRO
I am impressed with the connectivity of Dubai Metro. It connects to all the popular malls and attractions. It is very easy and convenient to travel.
HOW TO TRAVEL IN DUBAI METRO
NOL CARD-DUBAI METRO
If you are planning to stay in Dubai for a few days, you can buy a nol card. You can buy this Nol card from any of the metro stations. There are certain terms and conditions for using the nol card. You should have a minimum balance on your card. You can ask for details at the ticket counter while purchasing the Card. The benefit of the nol card is that you do not have to buy a ticket each time you board a train.
The Nol Card can also be used for buses, Tram, Water Taxis, and more places. Please check and verify the details while purchasing the card.
ATLANTIS MONORAIL RIDE
In the evening we went for the monorail ride. Well, the monorail takes you to the popular luxurious Hotel ATLANTIS. From this Monorail, you will get a beautiful view of the Hotel. There are a few stops on the way. One of the stops is The Nakheel Mall. You can visit the observatory at Nakheel Mall to see the Palm view. Another interesting stop is Pointe. This is recently opened. You can see a clear view of the Atlantis Hotel from here.
How to visit ATLANTIS HOTEL IN DUBAI
We went to this place by tram. There is a tram station near the Atlantis Monorail Station. The Monorail ride tickets are not included in the Nol Card. You must buy a separate ticket for this ride. We boarded the Monorail and headed towards the Atlantis Hotel. It was amazing to get a beautiful view of the huge Hotel from the monorail. We thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Also, they played some music on the monorail. The whole experience was good.
THE ATLANTIS HOTEL
This is a huge and spacious luxury Hotel in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. Visitors are allowed only in some areas of the Hotel. Also, we saw several brand stores in the Hotel. This Hotel is also popular for its Water Park. CLICK HERE to buy the tickets for Water Park. Also, there is the Lost Chambers Aquarium and other interesting experiences in the Hotel. There are also a few restaurants in the Hotel.

THE POINTE
After visiting the Atlantis Hotel, we boarded the Monorail and went to the Pointe Stop. Well, you can see a beautiful view of the Atlantis Hotel from this stop. Also, we clicked good pictures of the Hotel from the Pointe. This place is all lit up in the evenings. There are a few restaurants to dine in. Also, there are a few activities for kids at this place. We spent some time here in the evening.
DAY 6
DUBAI MALL
HOW TO REACH DUBAI MALL
The next day, we relaxed in the morning and went to Dubai Mall in the afternoon. Well, the easiest way to reach is by metro. You can get down to Dubai Mall Metro Station and walk towards Dubai Mall. There is a huge walkway towards the Mall from Metro Station. Although it takes almost 20 – 30 minutes to walk to Dubai mall, there are escalators for your convenience. The Walkway is air conditioned too. It is a comfortable walk. You can also enjoy seeing beautiful views of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall from the Walkway.
Dubai mall is huge and popular. There are many branded Stores. Also, there are a lot of fun things to do and activities in the mall. People from all age groups can enjoy and spend a good time in the mall. If you like to buy branded products like electronics, shoes, bags, and clothes, then this is a good place to shop.
THINGS TO DO IN DUBAI MALL
AQUARIUM AND UNDERWATER ZOO
Well, you can visit this huge Aquarium and Underwater Zoo in the mall.
ICE SKATING
Well, if you like to do Ice Skating, then Dubai Mall has a huge indoor ice skating rink. You can enjoy ice skating in Dubai Mall.
FOOD COURT IN DUBAI MALL
Dubai Mall has a huge food court with a lot of food options. You can also find some Indian Food stalls at the Food Court. There is Bikanervala and Bombay Chowpatty for Indian food options. We enjoyed having some Indian food and also had a Pizza from Papa Johns.
BURJ KHALIFA
This is the tallest building in the world. You can visit the observatory in this building to have a look at Dubai City from the Top. It is a thrilling experience. CLICK HERE to buy the tickets for Burj Khalifa. Also, enjoy a LED show on the Burj Khalifa every evening. The show can be seen from the promenade which is free of cost.
THE FOUNTAIN SHOW AT DUBAI MALL
You can enjoy watching this spectacular fountain show held every evening outside on the promenade. This is a beautiful fountain show which you can see free of cost. Well, we bought the Boardwalk Tickets which are reasonably priced to watch the show. You can get a closer look at the Fountain Show from the Boardwalk.
BOATING AT DUBAI MALL
You can also enjoy boating on this beautiful pond near the promenade. You can enjoy the mesmerizing views of the Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa and the promenade from the Boat. In the evening, this place is all lit up and this is the best time to enjoy boating.
Well, visiting the Dubai Mall was a good experience. This is a perfect place for kids and adults as well. Also, it is the best place for shoppers.
DAY 7
DUBAI PARKS AND RESORTS
Dubai Parks and Resorts is one of the best places to visit in Dubai. There are three different theme parks with unique activities and rides. The theme parks are Bollywood Park, Legoland and Motiongate. One of my favourite theme park is Bollywood Park.
We visited two parks, the Bollywood Park and Legoland in one day. It was a unique experience to visit both of these parks. If you want to enjoy seeing both parks in a day, it is recommended to start early in the morning.
BOLLYWOOD PARK IN DUBAI
Well, I am a big fan of Bollywood Movies. The theme park was filled with Bollywood décor, there were posters of famous Bollywood celebrities and Bollywood Movies. Also, they had placed artificial Mumbai Local Train and the Local Taxi in the park.
A lot of shows had Bollywood characters. A few of the names of the shows were taken from Bollywood movies. The whole atmosphere of the park was amazing. Also, a few of the rides in the park were thrilling and adventurous. There were rides for kids as well as adults.
There were restaurants inside the theme park. We had our lunch at the Spicy Dhaba Restaurant in Bollywood Park. They serve delicious Indian Food. They had Indian Food Combo Meals. We enjoyed having some Paneer Makhani, Dal Makhani, and Rice.
In the evening, we enjoyed seeing a Bollywood dance show. The dances were performed on popular Bollywood songs.
There is also a shop inside the theme park with various gift items and interesting products. You can buy souvenirs from this shop.
Overall, it was a fun experience visiting this Unique Theme Park in Dubai.
LEGOLAND IN DUBAI
This theme park has fun rides, especially for younger kids. There are different zones with different themes at this park. Also, they distribute free candies to kids which is fun. There is a section where they have miniatures of popular places in Dubai which is interesting. Children enjoy being at this park.
There was an interesting ride for a submarine adventure. We were seated on a submarine and then transferred to this imaginary world of the sea. It was an amazing experience.
There are restaurants inside the park. Also, there are shops inside the theme park from where you can buy your favourite lego toys and games.
LEGOLAND WATER PARK IN DUBAI
There is also a Water Park in Legoland for which you must purchase a separate ticket. Well, we did not visit this Park.

DAY 8
MUSEUM OF THE FUTURE
Well, we started our day early in the morning to visit the Museum. We had booked the first slot of the day to visit this place.
HOW TO REACH THE MUSEUM OF THE FUTURE IN DUBAI
Well, you can easily reach the museum by Dubai Metro. There is a Metro Station right next to the Museum.
This is one of the most fantastically built and attractive buildings in Dubai. The special thing about the Museum of the Future Dubai is the structure of the building.
The Museum of the Future is an interesting place showcasing the future. It invites us to see the world of the future. We experienced some unique things. Also, they have an interactive Robot which is interesting. This place is unique and different.
There is a play area for kids where they can spend a fun time. The play area is named Future Heroes.

LA MER BEACH
Well, this is one of my favourite places in Dubai. It is a popular place among locals in Dubai. You can come here to spend some good time in the evening. It is all lit up with lights. There is a huge promenade near the beach which has all the fun activities to do.
There are activities for kids at the promenade. Also, you can enjoy Go-Karting at the promenade. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes. All the restaurants have wonderful ambience. You can spend a good time in the evenings with your friends and family.
CAFE FILLI IN DUBAI
We visited the Café Filli at La Mer Beach. Well, café Filli has many outlets in Dubai. They are popular for their Saffron tea. Also, they serve a variety of food from Indian cuisine. We liked the ambience of this Café. We had some Pasta and their popular Saffron Tea. They served the tea with special cookies. I must say, the Tea is very good. If you are a Tea Lover, you must visit this place.
Overall, it was a wonderful evening spent at La Mer Beach.
DAY 9
DUBAI MARINA MALL
Well, the next morning we visited this mall. We went to the Mall by Tram. The Tram Station is a 2 minute walk from our apartment. We got down to the Tram Station which is just next to the mall. This is a huge mall with very good stores for shopping. We took a stroll in the mall. Also, there were good deals in some of the stores.
Then, we had our lunch at the Food Court in the Mall. There were a lot of Food options. We had a relishing meal from Indian Access. They serve delicious Indian Food. Also, we tried some Mexican Food from TORTILLA.
KITE BEACH
This is one of the most beautiful beaches in Dubai. The best time to come here is in the evenings. Also, you can see the beautiful Hotel Burj Al Arab from the beach. It is one of the most beautiful buildings in Dubai. Also, it is one of the most luxurious Hotels in Dubai.
Kite Beach is mostly visited by Locals. It is the best place to take a stroll in the evenings. Also, there is a cycle track. You can enjoy cycling on the track. Also, there is a separate walking track for Walking and Jogging. It is a good place to be in the evenings during sunsets.
GLOBAL VILLAGE DUBAI
This is one of the popular places among locals and tourists in Dubai. Global Village is open for visitors in Dubai every year from October to April. Every year it gets grander and bigger.
The concept of a Global Village is to bring cultures from all over the world under one roof. Many countries are participating in the Global Village. It is like an exhibit of the culture and food of different countries.
There are various sections of different countries where people put up stalls for their country’s popular products like clothing, jewellery, handicrafts, and a lot more. They also put up food stalls of their special delicacies from their country.
We were excited to see the section of our country India. We saw stalls for traditional clothing and jewellery from India. Also, some food stalls were serving popular Indian Street Food.
This is a Shopping Paradise for all shopping enthusiasts. It was amazing to buy products from the stalls of different countries. It felt like roaming about the whole world to shop.
Also, many stalls were serving famous Turkish Ice cream. It was fun to experience their unique style of serving Ice Cream.
There were spectacular fireworks in the evening. Also, there were many entertainment shows. This is a huge place. It is recommended to visit this place early in the evenings. You may take at least 3 – 4 hours to see the whole place.
This is an interesting and unique place to visit in Dubai.
DAY 10
DUBAI FRAME
HOW TO REACH DUBAI FRAME
Well, Dubai Frame is easily connected to a metro station. The metro station is just a 10 minute walk from Dubai Frame. You can reach it here by Dubai Metro.
Well, the next day we started early in the morning as we had booked the first slot to visit the DUBAI FRAME. I must say, this spectacular place is worth a visit. It gives you a glimpse of Old Dubai and New Dubai. It is not only an observatory but has much more to see. This spectacular building looks like a Giant Golden Frame. You will be amazed to see this beautiful huge golden frame.
When we entered this place, we headed towards a museum where they showed us how the city has progressed over the years. They also showed a glimpse of the old Dubai.
Then we headed towards the observatory. Here, we got to see some spectacular views of Old Dubai and New Dubai. Well, the location of the place was thoughtfully chosen from where you can see both sides of Dubai. You can see a glance of the Burj Khalifa from this place.
To add to the thrill, they have a glass panel on the floor from where you can see through till the bottom of the Frame. Well, it was challenging to walk on the Glass Panel and exciting as well. Also, there is a small food stall on the observatory to have some snacks and coffee.
We then came down by the elevator. Then, we were shown the future vision of the city and how it may be after some years. Then we went outside and clicked some pictures of the DUBAI FRAME. There is a small lawn outside to sit and relax.

It was a great experience visiting this unique place.
AL SEEF DUBAI
Well, after visiting the Dubai Frame, we headed towards Al Seef Dubai. This place is located in Old Dubai.
HOW TO REACH AL SEEF DUBAI
Well, since this place is near Dubai Frame, we reached here by Taxi. Also, it is a 10 – 15 minute walk from the nearest Metro Station. You can come here by Dubai Metro.
Al Seef Dubai is again a unique place. This place is designed with ancient architecture and gives a heritage feel. You can see some beautiful views of Dubai Creek from here. You feel like you are roaming about in some ancient heritage place. Also, there are small little shops from where you can buy some traditional products.
There are restaurants and cafes on the promenade. You can enjoy spectacular Dubai Creek views from some of the restaurants. Also, the Starbucks in Al Seef DUBAI is popular for its heritage interiors. You can spend some time strolling around this place and shopping. It is an interesting place to visit.
DUBAI MARINA
Well as there is a saying KEEP THE BEST FOR THE LAST. We spent our evening on the last day of our tour in DUBAI MARINA.
HOW TO REACH DUBAI MARINA
Well, Dubai Marina is just a 5-minute walk from the Metro Station. You can easily reach this place by Dubai Metro.
This is a fun place to stroll around. It is a favourite among locals. People enjoy taking a walk on the promenade or just sitting and relaxing. TIPS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The first thing you must do when in Dubai is buy a Nol Card to Travel in Dubai Metro.
Find a stay near a Metro Station. Travelling by Metro is easy and convenient. Dubai Metro connects to most of the popular attractions. It is also a cheaper option than Taxi.
If you have kids along, do carry a Kids’ Stroller with you. There are a lot of places to see and you have to walk around.
Book the Tickets for the attractions well in advance, especially for The Museum of the Future, Dubai Frame and Burj Khalifa.

Well, this is a half-day tour. On this Tour, they take you to the Desert where you can enjoy a lot of fun things to do and activities. The best time to visit the Safari is in the evenings during sunsets. Also, meals are included in your tour price.
SKI DUBAI
It is located inside the Mall of Emirates. This too is a fun place to visit with a lot of activities to do.
IBN BATUTA MALL
This mall is known for its unique theme. The interiors of the mall are different and unique.
LIMOUSINE RIDE
Well, you can enjoy a luxury Limousine Ride with your family or a group of Friends. This is a fun ride. Enjoy seeing the city from a Limousine.
