Best Time To Visit Hong Kong and Macau
Well, the best time to visit Hong Kong is between November to March as the weather is pleasant. You can also plan your trip in April and May as summer has just begun in these months.
Flights and Visa – Hong Kong Travel Guide
You can easily find flights to Hong Kong Airport. If you are flying from India, you can easily get direct flights from major cities like Delhi and Mumbai. Well, you have a direct flight from Mumbai, but it is better to fly via Delhi if you have a smaller budget.
Well, Indians can travel visa-free to Hong Kong and Macau for 14 days by filling up a Pre-Arrival Registration form online. You must fill out this form on their official website. Once the form gets approved, you can visit Hong Kong without a Visa for 14 days. Please note that the information filled in the form should be accurate. The details like name and other details in the form should be filled as they are in the passport.

HongKong To Macau
Well, we flew with Air India from Mumbai to Hong Kong via Delhi. It was a convenient and comfortable Journey. I enjoyed watching some interesting shows and Movies on the in-flight entertainment.

Octopus Card – A Must-Have in Hong Kong
The immigration process was simple and quick. Once you Land in Hong Kong, the first thing you must do is purchase an Octopus Card. This is a must-have card when you are in Hong Kong. It is very useful to commute around in Hong Kong. It is a pre-paid card used in the local buses, trams, and supermarkets in Hong Kong. It is easy and convenient to refill the card. You can refill it at any Metro Station or convenience store. You can swipe the card for any Bus. Metro Train, Tram or even in a convenience store to make the payment.
Bus To Macau
So, after collecting our luggage, we headed towards the Bus Stop and boarded the Bus Number B4 for the Hong Kong Macau Port. I then boarded a Bus to Macau from the Port. Well, Macau is also a separate administrative region of the People’s Republic of China, like Hong Kong. You must again go through the Immigration Process to enter Macau at the Port. Well, you need to carry a Pre Arrival Registration form for Hong Kong and some documents ( small papers that are given at the airport for arrival in Hong Kong). You need to safely keep the PAR (Pre-Arrival Registration) and the papers given for entering Hong Kong from Macau.
How To Get Around in Macau – Hong Kong Travel Guide
Although there are many taxis and local buses in Macau, there is a way to get around in Macau for Free. Macau is also known as the Las Vegas of Asia. In Macau, you will mainly visit the famous Casino Hotels. You can travel around Macau by Casino shuttles. The buses are available from the Casino Hotels. There are several stops for almost all the Casino hotels you would want to visit. In this way, you can visit all the Casino Hotels in Macau for Free!

Where To Stay – Hong Kong Travel Guide
Well, first, let us discuss a perfect place to stay in Macau. We stayed at the Grand Lapa Macau Resort. The Hotel is located a bit far from the Macau Strip. The Hotel is conveniently located near the Sands Casino Hotel. You can easily find Casino Shuttles from the Sands Casino to move around Macau.
There are a lot of areas to stay in Hong Kong. l stayed at CM Hotels located in Sheung Wan near Central Hong Kong. It is an apartment Hotel. If you would like to have Indian Food, then you can stay near the Tsim Tsha Tsui area. Also, Tsim Tsha Tsui is in the centre of the city, from where it is easy to access all the major attractions.
Food In Hong Kong – Hong Kong Travel Guide

When it comes to food, Hong Kong has popular food chains like Subway and Pizza Hut. You can also try their local cuisine, especially at the Central Market. The Mall was filled with eateries. You will find some of the popular bakery stores near Central Market.
If you want to have some Indian Food, you will find several Indian restaurants in the Tsim Tsha Tsui Area. Also, outlets like Ebeneezer’s serve Indian Food in Hong Kong. We found one at the Ngong Ping Village near Big Buddha. Enjoyed a relishing meal. We tried their Samosa, naan and Paneer Subzi.

My perfect day-wise Itinerary will help you plan your trip. I have mentioned all the places you must visit in Hong Kong in the Itinerary. This day-wise Itinerary will be your perfect Hong Kong Travel Guide.
Day 1
You can reach Macau directly from Hong Kong International Airport. Check into your Hotel and relax for the day. You can also enjoy the amenities in the resort. There are amenities like a Swimming Pool, kids’ play area, and more.
Day 2
Freshen up and start your day early. You will visit all the famous tourist places in Macau on Day 2. Begin by visiting the Senado Square—a place with a Portugal history. Stroll amid the old European Buildings. Don’t forget to visit the popular St. Paul’s Ruins.
In the evening, visit the Macau Strip, where you can see some famous casino hotels. The Casino Hotels are luxurious and grand. A stay in these Hotels spells luxury and grandeur. You can book a stay in these Hotels for a memorable experience. Also, read Macau in A Day for detailed information.
Day 3
Check out of the Hotel and head towards Hong Kong. You can visit Hong Kong by Ferry. We had booked our stay near the Ferry Terminal in Hong Kong. Our Hotel was located in the Sheung Wan area. It was convenient to visit all the major attractions from the Hotel
After an early morning trip from Macau, you can relax in your Hotel in the afternoon and then in the evening visit the Avenue of Stars at Victoria Harbour. Also, watch the popular Symphony of Lights, which happens every evening. Symphony of Lights. It is a light and sound show which looks magnificent on the Sky Towers of Hong Kong. The Show happens after Sunset. End your Day with this spectacular show at the Victoria Harbour.

Day 4
Begin your day early today and have a fun-filled and memorable day at Hong Kong Disneyland. You will spend the whole day enjoying the rides, shows and carnival parades at this Magical Land. Day 5
Keep Day 5 relaxed as you may be tired after a day-long trip to Disneyland. Spend a relaxed morning and then in the evening visit Victoria Peak. Victoria Peak was just 15 – 20 minutes from the tram near our Hotel. Well, we visited the Peak through the famous Peak Tram. The Peak Tram Ride is a must-do activity when in Hong Kong. You can see spectacular views of the city from Victoria Peak. Enjoy a view of the city full of Sky Towers. The sunset view from here is amazing too. Try visiting before Sunset. Also, you may book the tickets online to avoid the queue. There is a mall at the Peak where you can shop, dine, and spend your evenings. Also, you will find some cafes or restaurants with city views.
Day 6
Begin your day early in the morning and visit the popular Ocean Park. Ocean Park is conveniently located near the Metro Station. It is a unique Theme Park with a lot of fun activities. You can also see a Panda in the Theme Park.
The theme park offers a cable car ride with stunning sea views and a unique train ride experience. You can also enjoy thrill rides. They have an aquarium too in the Theme Park. Day 7
After spending a relaxed evening the previous day, charge yourself again for a Day Trip to Ngong Ping Village and Big Buddha. This is one of my favourite places in Hong Kong. You need to take a Bus Ride or a Cable Car from a Metro station to reach Big Buddha. A bus Ride is a cheaper option.

Once you reach the place you will find a huge walkway towards the Big Buddha Statue. The place is well-maintained and clean. Be ready to climb stairs to have a closer look at the statue. You can also see the statue from below. A closer look at the statue is magnificent and also offers stunning mountain views from the hilltop.
You can then visit the Ngong Ping Village nearby. This unique village is filled with colourful buildings. You will find ample dining options at this place. Also, there are vegetarian cafes and restaurants. Subway had a Vegetarian Sandwich option. We dined in at the Ebenzeers. They had Indian Food options too.
After spending a few hours at these places, you can then return via the Cable Car or Bus. There is a popular outlet mall called Citygate Outlet near the bus stop or the Cable Car Ride Stop. You can visit the mall for brand shopping. There are several outlets of Luxury Brands offering great discounts and deals.
Day 8 and Day 9
Begin the day a bit late and relax in the morning, as you might be tired after doing the Day tours on previous days. Head to shops around the city in the afternoon. Hong Kong is a shopper’s Paradise. You can try to cover all the places in two days.
Hong Kong is known for street shopping as well as brand shopping. You will find luxury brand stores and also discounts and deals on Brand Products in Hong Kong. Some of the famous shopping streets in Hong Kong are Ladies Market, Sneakers Street, Kwai Chung Plaza, Citygate Outlets and Central. To know more about all these places, Read Here.

Day 10
