I am so excited to share my experience with a visit to IKEA, NAVI MUMBAI. This is an all-new experience for people in Mumbai. Ikea is a huge Furniture store from Sweden having Stores all over the world.
The store was so huge and spacious, more than what I had expected. The staff here had been so attentive and taking care of all the social distancing measures which made me feel safe and secure.
They also have huge elevators and parking space. The store was very much spacious to accommodate a huge crowd.
Well, this is the second Ikea store in India. The first Ikea store is in Hyderabad which is also running successfully. The Sweden store has a lot to offer. This may be the first-ever largest Furniture Store in Mumbai.
The products sold here were unique and some I had never seen before in India. They have a huge collection of the product range in each section. Also, the quality of the products was so good. They have a range of products in the following sections

You need a prior registration online to visit the store. These measures have been specially taken due to the Pandemic. They only accommodate a certain number of crowd in a given time-slot. They have 3 to 4 time-slots in a day. You can choose a time-slot according to your convenience online. Then I received a Bar Code on E-mail which I had to show them before I enter the store. They also have chairs in the waiting area if you arrive early before your time slot.
We took 4- 5 hours to see the whole store. So, whenever you plan your visit, be prepared to at least spend 4 hours inside the store. They also have a wheelchair facility for the senior citizens, but do enquire about that before your visit and a cafeteria. They will also provide you with a store map which will help you in finding the products easily.
Types of Products
The best part of the store was that all the products were priced reasonably. They had a huge collection of products in Home Furniture, Tableware and cooking accessories, textiles, bedsheets and Bed Textiles, Bath accessories, Home organization, Lighting, Rugs, Wall Decorations, Mirrors, Home Décor and Outdoor Furniture.
My Favourite Sections
Children’s Ikea
Well, I liked the Kids section and Home accessories the most. They had these cute little ideas for kids room. They also had some cool collection of soft toys, Baby chairs and tables, stuff like sketch pens, card paper sheet sets, tent houses and a lot more.
Home Accessories
Home accessories were also fun to see and buy. They had a unique collection in kitchen accessories. They also had some baking essentials which are usually difficult to find in other stores. They were affordable and reasonably priced. I bought a big Non-stick wok and a mixing bowl for myself. The quality of the products is amazing.
How to Shop
You can collect smaller items from the racks itself. But, if you like bigger furniture, then you have to note down the location from the Tag of the product and collect it from the self-serve furniture area which is towards the end of the store. You get special trolleys near the Self-Serve furniture area to collect your furniture item or product. The staff here will assist you with the same.
Cafetaria
The Cafeteria was the best part of the store. It is also huge and spacious with good interiors. I just felt like I am in Sweden while enjoying my meal.
They do serve good meals, Bread, Tea, and Coffee in the Cafeteria. The seating arrangement was also done taking care of the safety measures. They told us to place our trolleys outside the cafeteria so that we can relax and enjoy our coffee. The cafeteria was managed well. They also had this unique system of disposing of a tray through a trolley. You can have a look at it in the video.
Overall, IKEA, NAVI MUMBAI is a must-visit if you are looking for good quality and affordable products. They have a lot of variety to offer and choose from. Do not forget to register online before visiting the store. They do not allow you without registration.
