Jaipur, also popularly known as the pink city is a well-known city for tourists. I have jotted down interesting information about the best places to visit in Jaipur, Jaipur shopping, and hotels to stay in the city. Also, find some interesting Jaipur tourism images further. A lot of tourists visit here every year to experience and know about a royal life of the Kings and Queens in several Palaces and forts situated here. 

Jaipur is one of the popular cities in the state of Rajasthan known for its unique palaces and forts. It is also known as the Pink city of India as all the buildings and monuments inside the city are painted pink in color. Now, let’s discuss the palace hotels, shopping markets, restaurants and major attractions in the city. There are many palaces and forts to see in Jaipur, but I have jotted down the main attractions which you should not miss on your trip to the city.

The Hotels in Jaipur especially the Palace hotels are well known for its hospitality. I would suggest staying in any of the Palace Resorts in the city to experience the culture and royalty of the palaces.

The best time to visit Jaipur is in winter that is from October to March, but you can enjoy great deals in these luxurious resorts in August and September. It may be a bit hot in these months and it may also have rainfall in the season.

Trident: Trident is also a popular hotel chain known for its luxury. This Hotel is located right opposite a tourist attraction Mansagar lake. A panoramic view of the lake and the Jal Mahal Palace inside the lake can be seen from the Hotel.

Indana Palace: This beautiful property is a Palace Hotel located on the outskirts of the city. The property is huge and has luxurious rooms. The property is designed like a palace to experience royalty. They also have luxurious cottages which are designed like the old Palace rooms with a private pool. 

Radisson: This is a property with luxurious amenities conveniently situated inside the city near major attractions and the Market.

1135 AD: This is a unique restaurant located inside the Amer Fort. This restaurant is known for its ambience. They serve you in silverware just like the Royal Kings did have their meals in the ancient days. The interiors of the restaurant are like a Royal Dining Room in the Palace. 

Tapri Central: This is a popular café and restaurant in the city known for its fusion food. They serve many cuisines like Italian, continental, Indian and Mexican.

Cheelgadi Restaurant: This is a pure vegetarian restaurant is located near the airport. If you are looking for a quick North Indian vegetarian Meal near the airport, then this is an ideal place.

Jaipur is a hub of shopping all the cultural and traditional items. The city has huge markets with a lot of small shops selling unique and traditional items. Everything from the dresses like Bandhanis, Kurtis to bedsheets, dohar, shoes, bags, antique jewelry, etc.. All these items are very good in quality and beautiful. There are two well-known markets from where you can buy all the stuff

There is a lot of bargaining in Price in many of the shops in the markets. So, you have to brush up your bargaining skills.

There are a lot of palaces and forts in Jaipur. But, here I have jotted down only the major attractions in the city which you must visit during your trip.

Hawa Mahal, Jaipur

Hawa Mahal: This a famous palace built by a king Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in the city center for his Queens to hang out and have a look at the processions and activities going on in the city from the palace. The palace also has a lot of windows to get fresh air and also makes it convenient for the queens to get a better view of the cities. Also, there are many shops outside the palace for shopping.

Jantar Mantar, Jaipur

Jantar Mantar: This place consists of many astronomical instruments and was built in ancient days to predict the time and movements of the sun, earth, and the planets. This place is situated right behind Hawa Mahal and is walking distance from the palace.

Amer Fort, Jaipur

Amer fort: This is a beautiful fort located on the outskirts of the city and is a must-visit attraction for the tourist visiting the city. The Fort is situated right up the hill and has great panoramic views from the top. Also, the architectural work of the fort is interesting. They also have a Garden beneath the fort to relax after the trip. They have Elephant rides in the morning from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The elephant ride is till the Main Gate of the fort. The charges for the ride are Rs.1100/- per Elephant and only 2 people can sit on one Elephant. 

Chokhi Dhani: This Resort is also situated on the outskirts of the city. This is a unique resort that depicts the Rajasthani culture. You can spend a whole evening at the Resort. It has a Rajasthani village-like concept where they conduct the folk dance, puppet shows, Pottery, and several other activities. You have to take a meal package in the Resort for the Entry. The major activities inside are free, although a few are chargeable with an extra cost. Overall, if you want to have a taste of the Rajasthani food and culture, then you must visit this Resort.

Overall, Jaipur is the best destination to experience royalty and Rajasthani culture. You can easily plan a 3-day itinerary and visit all the attractions mentioned in the blog.
