FAIRMONT is a chain of Luxury Hotels and Resorts based in Canada. They have exclusive luxurious properties all over the world. Fairmont Jaipur is the only Resort in India from its chain of hotels. It is a unique resort in Jaipur with a fort theme. This huge hotel is located amidst the Aravalli Hills in Jaipur. It is also a resort in Jaipur for fun with kids. They have well-designed rooms in the hotel to make you feel larger than life.
The guests are given a warm welcome by the hotel staff as soon as they enter the hotel. The hotel gate is designed like that of a fort. Once you walk near the gate, they start playing the dholaks(drums) and shower flower petals. After entering the gate, a sitar is played by a local singer singing the traditional Rajasthani songs. Then you enter the main lobby area near the reception where they welcome you by giving a traditional Rajasthani pagadi for men and traditional colorful bracelets for the ladies. I have never seen such a grand welcome in any other hotel. They have an amazing staff to look after the guests.
Fairmont (Jaipur) is a must-visit when you come to Jaipur, especially for the elegant royal rooms. The rooms of the hotel give you a vintage feel as it was in the ancient days of the Royals in Rajasthan with an amazing view of the Aravalli hills.
The rooms have a huge and spacious bathroom with a Hamam bath as it used to be in the ancient days. They also have in-built speakers in the bathroom to listen to your favorite music while having a good time in the shower.
Fairmont (Jaipur) has two huge and elegant Restaurants Zoya and Zarin. They serve authentic North Indian, Rajasthani and continental food. The food here is delicious but very expensive. I suggest you take a whole package with the room inclusive of Breakfast and Dinner. You will not be able to find any restaurants outside the hotel as it is located on the outskirts of Jaipur. They also have a library Bar named AZA.
There are a lot of amenities in the hotel for recreation and healthcare. The hotel has a huge swimming pool and also a separate pool for kiddies to play around. The swimming pool for kids is also large enough. They also have floats, dry towels and changing rooms near the pool for a quick shower. They have a lounge area near the pool to enjoy your poolside drinks.
Fairmont also has a separate play area for the little toddlers. They have a soft play zone with small slides, ball pool, toys, and other stuff to play with where the toddlers have a great time. They also have a trampoline beside the pool for the kids.
The hotel has a salon and a souvenir shop to buy some good stuff for your friends and family back home. The products here are a bit expensive than the local markets. They have a huge gymnasium for your daily work-outs. They also have a spa that offers various treatments for refreshing and rejuvenating yourself.
The hotel conducts daily activities like pottery, bangle making, traditional Rajasthani folk dance which is complimentary with your stay.
The Fairmont hotel also has facilities for conducting destination weddings. They have a huge lawn and good facilities to organize lavish weddings.
Overall, Fairmont (Jaipur) is an experience in itself. They have done their best in every aspect to please their guests and make them feel special. It makes you feel larger than life with its huge property and amazing amenities.
The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the city. So it is a bit difficult to commute without a vehicle. The Ola rentals are easily available. You can book an Ola rental for your tour of the city.
Food may be a bit expensive in the Hotel, so it is advisable to take the room package inclusive of the food. You can take Breakfast and Dinner as the Breakfast buffet served is wholesome. They have a lot of variety of food for breakfast. There is nothing available outside the hotel as it is located on the outskirts of the city.
If you want a good deal for the hotel room, then I would suggest you visit the Off-season which is somewhere around august and September. Well, summers may be too hot here, so it is better to visit immediately after the monsoons. The August and September months will be perfect. The hotel room rates are three times the price in the peak season (October-February) than the Off-Season)
