BETTER ROUTE FOR MUMBAI TO GOA BY ROAD

Well, there are two popular routes from Mumbai to Goa. One is the route from Konkan Road and the other route is from Mumbai Pune Expressway via Satara to Goa. The second route is more preferable as there are a lot of eateries and food stops on this route.

Well, we had taken the route from Mumbai – Pune Expressway. We had a memorable food experience on the Mumbai to Goa Road Trip. We visited this place which is a heaven for street food lovers. This is a unique Food Court called Kailash Bhel which is on Khed Shivapur on the Pune – Satara Highway. A perfect place for a food stopover on your way to Goa from Mumbai. This place is just a few kilometres ahead of Satara. You can also visit the place while returning on the same route.

We had come here while returning from Satara. The Highway is very beautiful with greenery on both sides of the road. Passing by the small fields, local eateries and beautiful scenic mountains on the way makes this route perfect for long drives. The roads are well maintained. While coming back from Satara we came across a lot of Sweet Shops selling the popular Kandi Pedhe. This is one of the popular sweets in Satara. People do like the Kandi Pedhe which is a specialty sweet in Satara and they also get it packed for their loved ones. You can buy the sweets from these shops on the Highway, and get them packed for your family and friends back home.

FOOD STOPOVER ON THE ROUTE FROM MUMBAI TO GOA

Later, after a short drive we arrived at the Kailash Bhel Food Court. It was such a delight to see a food court with a variety of Chaat. Chaat is a term used for some of the street foods like Sev Puri, Bhel Puri, Pani Puri etc. in India. The food court is clean and spacious enough for the guests to accommodate. Also, there are washrooms near the Food Court.

They had South Indian food, Thali and other street foods like Vada Pav, Bhajjis etc. Also, there is a special counter for tea, the most loved beverage among Locals.

Now I will tell you what I had during my visit to Kailash Bhel Food Court. As it goes with the name Bhel is a must-try at this place. We enjoyed having Chaat like Bhel and SPDP (Sev Puri Dahi Puri). This is a unique combination of Sev Puri and Dahi Puri. Also, we tried some Vada Pav and Kanda Bhajjis with their Special Masala Tea. The tea here was very nice.

Also, they have a counter for Ice Creams and Shakes. There is a Lonavala Chikki Counter from where you can buy a variety of Chikkis.

We had a lot of fun at this place and enjoyed the food experience here. Truly, Kailash Bhel is now my favourite Stopover on the Mumbai to Goa Road trip.
