This place is in Maharashtra. It is a five hour drive from Mumbai. There are a lot of devotees who visit this place every year to Sai Baba temple in Shirdi. Over the years this place has been developed and also the temple is managed well to handle the crowd of devotees. There are a lot of other attractions and places to visit in shirdi which will be discussed further. A three days trip will be ideal to visit all the places.

You can book your stay online through the official website of the Shri Saibaba Sansthan trust. They have all kinds of rooms available (A.C. and non A.c. rooms). It is advisable to book the rooms in advance.

Rajdhani: This is a famous place to have vegetarian Thali. The thali served here is kind of gujarati thali which has chapati, dal, rice, sweet and farsan.

 

Sai Sagar food court: This is one of the popular places. This is a food court where there are many options to eat and also the food is reasonably priced.
 
Ahimsa Café: This is a vegan café which is also very popular. The cuisine served here is Italian, Mexican and continental and popular dishes here are Pizza and Pasta.
 
Shopping
 
The market is located near the Sai Baba temple. There are a lot of shops on the way to the temple. You can basically buy many religious items like Sai Baba Idols, frames etc. from here. The specialty for clothes is paithani sarees, traditional wear for kids and kurta for men are available. There are many bangle shops and imitation jewellery shops in the market. There is a variety of traditional bags and shoes. There are many shops in the building Sai Palace complex which is behind the temple.
 
 
Sight Seeing Places
 
Sai Baba Temple: Of course this is a place which should be on top of your list. Usually there is a lot of rush all through the day. It takes at least 2 -3 hours in the que for the darshan. But, now there is a facility of VIP pass where you can skip the line and shorten the waiting time for the darshan. These passes are also available online (Sai Baba Sansthan Trust) if you can plan your visit beforehand. The Sai Baba Aarti passes are also available online.

Sai Teerth Theme Park

 

This is a first ever religious theme park built in India. This place has gained lot of popularity recently. The place is well maintained and worth visiting once when you visit Shirdi. 

 



The theme park has four popular attractions inside 



·    The train ride is most popular out of the four. This is a 20 minute ride where you can witness top 12 temples of India through the ride
·       Lanka Dahan is a 5d experience
·       Sai Baba movie on a big screen
·       Sai Baba story through Robotics and animatronics

This is a fun water park with lot of water rides which can be enjoyed by all family members.
 
Sai Heritage Village

 

This is a place where the whole village is set up like it was when Shri Sai Baba used to live in Shirdi. 

 



There are also lot of other facts written on the display about Shri Sai Baba. 

 



There is a small mini train ride inclusive with the ticket. The ticket price is Rs.125/- per person.

 


Farms : There are a lot of Farms on the way to Shirdi from Mumbai. If you want to experience picking vegetables from farms you can request the farmers. They allow us to visit the farm and also sell fresh vegetables and fruits grown in the farm. The fruits like grapes and guava are produced maximum in this region.
