Devaliya Safari Park also known as Gir Interpretation Zone is a huge protected area in Sasan Gir. You can spot a lot of animals in Devaliya Safari Park. It is easier to see the animals, especially the Asiatic Lions in Devaliya Safari Park as compared to the Gir Jungle Safari. Devaliya Safari Park Sasan Gir Online Booking
Well, Devaliya Safari Park is open almost all round the year. But the best time to visit is from October to March. To visit the Devaliya Safari Park, you must have a permit which can be booked online from their website. Sometimes, there may be a lot of waiting time to book the tickets from their tourist centre. So, it is better to book the permit online well in advance.
Sinh Sadan Sasan Gir
You can visit the Devaliya Safari Park on a Gypsy or a Bus Tour. Well, we went to the Park in a Gypsy. We are accompanied by a Driver and a Guide in a Gypsy. You can get the Gypsy from Sinh Sadan. Also, you can book your tickets for the Gypsy from Sinh Sadan. The Gypsy takes you to the Devaliya Safari Park from Sinh Sadan which is a 20-minute ride. Also, they have an option to pick you up from your Hotel or Resort for an Extra Cost in the Gypsy. If you want to opt for a Bus Tour, then you need to directly visit the Devaliya Safari Park.
There are also accommodation facilities available at the Sinh Sadan Campus. Also, this place is well maintained. They have facilities like Parking, a souvenir shop, Toilets, a Guest House and a lot more. The Sinh Sadan is a huge and spacious property. The Gypsy for the Safari is parked on this campus.
Devaliya Safari Sasan Gir
On the way to the Devaliya Safari Park, there is a lot of greenery all around. There are also a few Roadside Dhabas near the Devaliya Safari Park from where you can enjoy local Kathiyawadi Food. The Devaliya Safari Park too is very huge. Once you enter the Park, there are a lot of facilities on this campus like Toilets, and benches. Also, you get to take the Bus Tour from this campus. Then, you can enter Safari Trail which takes almost an hour on a Gypsy Ride.
THE SAFARI TRAIL
We spotted the Asiatic Lions in the Devaliya Safari Park. Also, we saw many other animals like deer. The Gypsy was covered with a net for safety. We could also see the Lions doing their activity in their natural habitat. It was a good experience to watch the animals from a small distance.
