Quick and Easy Diwali Dry Snacks Recipes which can be stored
Namkeen Puri
Namkeen Puri is very delicious, Quick and Easy Diwali Snacks Recipes to make at home. It is a deep-fried snack which can be easily stored and kept for a few days.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Maida (all-purpose flour)
- 2 tsp Cumin(Jeera)(Optional)
- Salt to Taste
- 3-4 tbsp oil
- Water to knead the dough
Method
- Mix the maida, jeera, oil, salt and water in a flat vessel. Knead a dough which should not be soft.
- Then make medium-sized Puris and prick them with a knife or fork.
- Fry the Puris and store it in an Air-Tight Container.

Gujarati Fafda/Mathiya and Chorafali
These are some Quick and Easy Diwali Snacks Recipes famous as Gujarati snacks or Namkeen made in every Gujarati household during Diwali. Well, if you want to make these snacks from scratch, a lot of time will be consumed. These days, readymade packets of the Roti to make the snacks are easily available in local stores.
Fafda
Fafda is a crunchy snack mixed with a special powdered mixture which enhances its taste.
You just have to fry the readymade Puris and sprinkle the powder given in the packet. You can adjust the spice as per your taste.
Chorafali
Chorafali is flat strips cut from a Puri and then deep-fried. They are very crunchy and melt in your mouth immediately.
Mathiya
Mathiya is a snack which is both sweet and spicy in taste. These unique flavours make it a tempting and mouth-watering snack.
Corn Flakes Chivda
Corn Flakes Chivda is made by mixing fried cornflakes with fried peanuts, gram dal and some spices. It is a quick chivda recipe and can be stored in an air-tight container for a few days.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Corn Flakes
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 3 tsp Red-chili powder
- 7 Curry Leaves
- 4 slit green chillies
- 3 tbsp Peanuts
- 3 tbsp Gram Dal
- Salt to taste
- Oil for Deep Frying
Method
- Deep fry the corn flakes, peanuts, gram dal, curry leaves and green chillies.
- Then mix all the above ingredients with sugar, red chilli powder, and salt.
- The delicious chivda is ready.
Roasted Poha Chivda
This is a healthier option to satisfy your snack cravings. It is also very quick and easy to prepare with very little ingredients.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Thin Poha
- ½ cup Peanuts
- ½ cup gram dal
- ½ cup thin wafer strips to fry(optional)
- 7 curry leaves
- 4 slit green chillies
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp chat masala(optional)
- 1tsp Turmeric
- 4 tbsp oil
- salt to taste
Method
- Dry Roast the Thin Poha in a pan.
- Fry the peanuts, gram dal, and wafer strips in oil.
- Then add curry leaves, green chillies, turmeric in the pan with oil.
- Now, add thin poha and mix them well.
- Then add the fried peanuts, gram dal, wafer strips, salt and sugar.
- Mix all the ingredients well.
- The roasted poha chivda is ready. You can store it in an air-tight container for a few days.
