This blog is about my recent visit to RO-RO FERRY-MUMBAI TO ALIBAUG-a beautiful and magnificent looking ferry. The RO-RO FERRY sails from Mumbai to Alibaug every day. Alibaug is a popular weekend getaway destination near Mumbai city in India.
M2M FERRIES
The ferry is also known as M2M FERRIES. The best part of the ferry is that you can take your car along inside the ferry. They have a huge parking space which accommodates 150 vehicles like cars, motorbikes and cycles. It has a capacity of 500 passengers. This ferry has been imported from Greece.
The ferry is a private limited ferry partnered with Maharashtra Maritime Board and Mumbai Port Trust. The ferry sails from Mumbai Port Trust to Mandwa Port.
RO RO FERRY SERVICE TIME TABLE MUMBAI
It sails thrice in a day from both the Ports. It takes 1 hour to reach Alibaug from Mumbai which is a lesser time as compared to the route by road. Alibaug is approximately a 3-hour drive from Mumbai.
Also, the experience sailing on the ferry is amazing. The RO-RO FERRY has a huge cafeteria with beautiful interiors and luxurious seating to enjoy some coffee or snacks.
They had snack options like sandwiches, rolls, poha, upma, sabudana khichdi, vada pav.
Also, all the social distancing norms are taken care of. The ferry has a huge deck area with a lot of seating to enjoy the sea view. There are also seats placed in many areas of the ferry to enjoy the cool breeze of the sea.
We also had a chance to see some beautiful birds while sailing. Also, we spent a good time enjoying the sea-view sipping some cold-coffee on the ferry.
They also have a bar in the ship on the Upper Deck. You can enjoy sipping on some good cocktails on the ferry.
They also have a souvenir stall to take back the beautiful memories for the time we spent on the ferry. They have some mugs, keychains, bags and t-shirts as souvenirs.
There is a huge driveway built on Mandwa port for a smooth drive towards the port. It was a beautiful experience to sail on the RO-RO FERRY!!!!!
