A UNIQUE FESTIVAL IN MUMBAI
The Mumbai Urban Art Festival is one of the most innovative and unique Festivals in the city. The idea behind the festival is to present beautiful artwork through murals in the city. This is an initiative taken by Asian Paints and St+art India Foundation.
MUMBAI URBAN ART FESTIVAL
The Festival is held at Sasoon Dock in Colaba. The walls of the buildings in the area are painted with beautiful artwork. Some of the walls are colorful and some have different themes. It is a walkthrough of artwork from talented artists. You can just stop at every wall and admire the paintings.
EXHIBITS AT THE MUMBAI URBAN ART FESTIVAL
Well, along with the murals you will also find different exhibits with themes. The exhibits are about unique innovations and artwork by artists. These exhibits are divided into three sections, Innovations, Intuitions and Illusions. You may come across Fish Smell around the dock.
Amrit Pal Singh has created Toy Faces which is a collection of portraits with characters from history and fictional stories about which we read in our childhood. The Pipes and Leaks theme created by Sajid Wajid Shaikh in collaboration with Ronak Soni is an interesting one. It displays the water infrastructure of Mumbai City.
You can also buy souvenirs from the shops at the location. Also, there is a small café at the location where you can buy snacks.
